Active Games

At ACTIVE AT ANY AGE we believe every child should have the opportunity to participate in physical activity. We have created a program called ACTIVE GAMES that focuses on teaching children new skills while having fun! The program involves physical fitness, sports skills, team-building challenges, and intellectual challenges.

The biggest problem children face these days is the amount of time they spend sitting and screen time. It’s important to balance sitting and screen time with being physically active to develop heathy habits at an early age.

According to Australia’s Physical Activity and Sedentary Behaviour Guidelines children from 5-17 years are recommended to do at least 60 minutes or more of moderate to vigorous physical activity per day.
There are many health benefits to staying physically active for children aged 5-17 including:

· Developing strong bones and muscles

· Developing a healthy heart and lungs

· Improving coordination

· Improving posture

· Improving brain function

· Maintaining a healthy body weight

· Decreasing the risk of developing chronic conditions, such as Type 2 Diabetes, heart diseases etc
